If you actually mean Recovery Mode where all your screen does is show a picture of a wire and the iTunes symbol, then you need an AT&T or Verizon Wireless sim card that does not have a pin. so basically if your sim card has a pin, you have to go to your carrier and get a new sim card If your phone was unlocked, it's locked now and a T-Mobile, Sprint, etc sim card will not work.
