Can I pronounce Lucian as "luce- ian" instead of "loosh- ian"?

I like the name Lucian for a character in my story but I like it pronounced as "luce-ian" luce sounding like light in spanish. Anyway, I have looked up the name and its always said to be pronounced as "loosh-ian" which is okay but I would prefer the other pronounciation so it sounds like "luce" not "loosh". Can I use that name and spelling and pronounce it differently?
