What's the deal with Lucian & Alec on General Hospital?

I have missed the last week & usually that doesn't matter lol but I seem to have missed the switch between Lucian & Alec being Brenda's son! So what's up with Lucian? Where's he going to go now? I hate being out of the loop lol!
